United States Tumbling & Trampoline Association (USTA)

United States Trampoline & Tumbling Association is over 30 years old. It was founded in 1971 by Larry Griswold and George Nissen (the founder of the trampoline). The U.S.T.A. started out with only about 200 members that competed in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini trampoline and offered only one division of competition, not like it is now, we are divided into nine divisions for tumbling and six division for the double-mini and the trampoline.

Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sport. During its early years the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations...After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level...The AAU is divided into 57 distinct Districts...annually sanction more than 34 sports programs, 250 national championships, and over 30,000 age division events.

USGyms.net is a great resource for finding information such as gyms and camps, literature and videos.  The site also addresses general health questions and tips; and features links to the web sites of several current and past Olympian gymnasts.


british-gymnastics.org offers a forum and message board specifically devoted to gymnastics, including tumbling and trampoline.  While minor rule differences may exist, the principles and discussion points still offer significant value.
